1. The Premise
DieLadung is a peer-to-peer file transfer tool. We do not host, store, or otherwise retain the contents of the files you transfer. We provide the software and, when strictly necessary to cross network boundaries, a blind relay bridge.
2. No Cloud Storage
By design, files sent via DieLadung travel directly from the sender’s device to the receiver’s device. For this reason, we cannot perform content moderation, enforce copyright takedowns on files, or recover lost files. If you send it, and they receive it, that is the entire interaction.
3. The Bridge Relay
When our bridge infrastructure is used to connect two devices over the internet, the data passing through is end-to-end encrypted. We cannot see, log, or decrypt the files passing through our bridge, and we do not maintain logs of the raw bytes transferred.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use DieLadung to distribute illegal material, malware, or content that violates the law in your jurisdiction. While we cannot monitor the content of transfers, we reserve the right to ban IP addresses or identities from using our public bridge servers if we receive credible abuse reports regarding network attacks or infrastructure abuse.
5. Open Source Software
The core software is provided "as is" under the terms of its Open Source license. While we strive to make DieLadung reliable and secure, we are not liable for any data loss, intercepted transfers (despite encryption), or damages arising from the use of the software.
